One of our five priorities is Discipleship and Sunday Morning Adult
Bible Study is the primary way we seek to accomplish that. Our
congregation is strongly encouraged to make this hour a priority in
their life as we consider this a signficant means to our sanctification.
Its never too late to join any of these classes, so we hope to see you
this week.
As is our normal practice we try to have one class which goes
through a book of the bible or a corpus (ex. Hebrews, Joshua, The
Pentateuch). Another class is designed to be more practical and
thematic (ex. raising children, finances, marriage). And the third class
is generally more basic and foundational (ex. Basics of the faith,
Becoming a member of the church)

Intentional Choices
Intentional Choices will lead you to open God's Word to discover how you can find peace in a
complex and difficult world as well as deepen your walk with Christ as your group discovers
together how stress can draw you closer to one another and to the Lord.
Exodus
Exodus is a great story but it leaves us with all kinds of hermeneutical
difficulties.
Considering the archaeological evidence, did this story really take
place at all?
Are the midwives really blessed for lying?
How can millions of people cross a sea, do those numbers even
make sense?
Why does Moses’ birth story (basket in the Nile) look so much like
the birth story of Sargon?
Why so many plagues and would God really kill all the firstborn kids?
If they were slaves in Egypt, why did they seem to have such ready access to the King
A lot of ink has been spilled trying to reconcile the difficulties of this book and learning how to think through these things is a valuable asset to Bible Study and to understanding God. I hope you will join us for this discussion based study as we seek answers from God regarding his Word.
Coming March 2:

CASH VALUES—5 week course - Money is a tricky topic for Christians,

short, thoroughly readable studies, Tony Payne guides us through the
important Bible passages about money, all the time explaining how the
subject is significant to our relationship with God and our fellowship with
other Christians. Straightforward and punchy discussion blended with
responsible attention to the Scriptures make Cash Values a valuable
resource.
